I’ve been with the choir for 2 months. I reached out to Dalene to get some voice training and ended up joining the choir.
3. Can you share a memorable moment or performance with the choir that stands out to you?
Performing at Eagles Canyon is a standout moment for me!

I sing Alto, and I love working out the solfa parts. It’s both challenging and rewarding.

The choir has given me confidence again, and I feel more self-assured in both my singing and in life.
6. What is your favourite song to perform with the choir, and why?
My favorite is "The Lord’s Prayer." When I sing it, I feel like I’m in the presence of the Holy Spirit. It’s a deeply spiritual experience for me.
7. Can you describe a typical rehearsal session with Tapestry Choir?
We start with warm-ups, which are fun, and then we learn new songs and rehearse older ones to reinforce them. I can sum it all up with one phrase: JUST HAVING FUN!
8. What do you think makes Tapestry Choir unique compared to other choirs?
Firstly, we have an excellent conductress. Secondly, the interaction between members is so beautifully woven together—it’s like we’re one big family.
9. How do you prepare for a performance, both individually and as a group?
I practice at home and then come together with the group, where we support each other. There’s always a strong sense of teamwork.
10. What advice would you give to someone considering joining a choir like Tapestry?
Be prepared to work hard, but also be prepared to share in the satisfaction that comes afterward. It’s worth every effort!
11. Can you share 4 fun facts or something interesting about yourself that your fellow choir members might not know?
I’m a real arty forty, a quick thinker, I love joking and turning negatives into positives, and I always laugh at my own mistakes!
