1. What is your name?
Elizabeth
2. How long have you been a member of Tapestry Choir, and what inspired you to join?
I’ve been in the choir for six months and joined because I love choral music.
3. Can you share a memorable moment or performance with the choir that stands out to you?
One of my favourite memories is when our choir performed with a choir from New Hampshire. It was an amazing experience, and I still keep in touch with some of the members via WhatsApp.
4. What voice group do you sing in the choir, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I sing Alto 2. What I enjoy most is the teamwork—everyone is willing to help when needed.
5. How has being part of Tapestry Choir impacted your personal or professional life?
Being in the choir has helped me gain confidence in my singing.
6. What is your favourite song to perform with the choir, and why?
"The Lord’s Prayer" is my favourite because we always sing it in church, and it’s a prayer that holds deep meaning for me.
7. Can you describe a typical rehearsal session with Tapestry Choir?
Rehearsals are all about working as a team. For example, all members are willing to assist when I need help.
8. What do you think makes Tapestry Choir unique compared to other choirs?
We have both young and old members—there are no age restrictions to becoming a member, which makes us unique.
9. How do you prepare for a performance, both individually and as a group?
I prepare by singing while doing house chores and by attending group rehearsals.
10. What advice would you give to someone considering joining a choir like Tapestry?
You need to love music, attend rehearsals to improve, respect everyone, and most importantly, have fun.
11. Can you share 4 fun facts or something interesting about yourself that your fellow choir members might not know?
I’m a shy person, I love cheese more than meat, sometimes my voice doesn’t come out when I sing, and I feel like I’m out of tune when I sing loudly.
